Trash Dummies was a different kind of project. First off it was the brainchild of the famous actress Shelly Duvall who concepted, wrote and developed the project. Next it was shot on a miniature landfill set created in our studio. It's characters were all puppets, not just any puppets but characters made out of real stuff that you would throw away from your house. This involved some interesting manipulation for both the puppeteers and the camera crew. The set was specially created for the puppeteers to work through and below the landfill set and they often worked on their backs looking at a monitor. We provided camera equipment, switching, lighting, crew, studio and post production with a few blue-screen special effects. And a place for Shelly to hang out for the two weeks of production. After all she was the producer.
