H"Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat. Nothing up my sleeve." -Rocky & Bullwinkle
US Steel was holding an open house for a new sales office. They wanted to feed a live camera and a looping DVD throughout the offices, conference rooms and to plasma screens in the lobby, break and three other viewing areas. The trick was to connect all of these areas without pulling wires over doors, down hallways and across new carpet. The solution was two fold. One was to convert the video feed to a CAT5 cable and use the existing cable runs to tie the conference rooms together using special signal convertors for video and audio. The other plan was to broadcast a 1080P HD signal over the air to the Plasma displays. Both of these solutions were new state-of-the-art technologies. We planned extra time for testing signal runs and rehearsals, working closely with Simply Jubilee Events and the in-house IT team.
