The days of LIVE TV are almost gone, except for Saturday night. Our challenge, how do you pass out over 100 awards, feed 1200 people, provide some entertainment and keep your audience with you for 2.5 hours. Our solution was to bring in Houston's own Radio Music Theatre (RMT), a comedic trio of entertainers who could MC the show, pass out awards, and provide LIVE Radio-style performances that would keep the show moving. We created an overhead four screen projection "square" that allowed the stage to be in the center of the room thus bringing in the audience closer to the stage. Presenting an award show in the round brings it's own challenges but RMT pulled it off.
